Our Program

Our Program

If your child has difficulty:

  • expressing their wants and needs,
  • stating basic information,
  • answering simple questions,
  • difficulty following 1-2 step directions

Please join us for this amazing opportunity! In addition, if your child has an IEP or receives Special Education Services under the following categories, this program is for you!

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (AU)
  • Developmentally Delayed with Speech/Language Delays (DD)
  • Other Health Impairments (OHI)

Writing Readiness

Children are intrinsically motivated to learn. Through our innovative program, they will learn and utilize all the core readiness skills needed for Kindergarten using Developmentally Appropriate Practices (DAP).

DAP has been proven to close learning gaps and help children succeed. Children will establish/explore handedness and expand their fine motor skills through building letters/numbers, correct pencil grip, practicing pre-writing strokes, tracing and coloring. They will also develop number and letter identification and proper letter formation through music, movement and hands-on manipulatives.

Speech and Language Development

In our program, we use the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) paired with songs/fingerplays in order to help young learners with special needs develop language skills. They will learn to use PECS so they will be able to listen, answer short and structured questions as well as express their wants/needs. Our Speech/Language Skills Development component is made up of 6 main components, including learning how to use PECS, phonological awareness, alphabet knowledge, concepts of print, comprehension, and writing readiness skills.

Math Skills

Little ones learn best when they are activity engaged. In our Math program, children will be learning to count, match, understand spatial awareness, sequence, and learn basic geometry skills through music and movement as well as interactive group time activities. In our program, we use lots of music! Science has proven that integrating music throughout instruction decreases anxiety and stress, helps children to regulate their emotions, and improves concentration and on task behavior. It has also been known to increase quality of life and learning in individuals with disabilities.

Social and Emotional Skills

Our program helps lay the foundation needed to form positive relationships, see things from others’ point of view, increase listening skills, identify their feelings and its causes as well as what to do when they are upset. We also give children the tools they need to express their wants/needs and tell you if something hurts.
